Faculte
Specs
Two series of custom illustrations for print and screen, and one-word descriptors for each step.
The Problem
Like many startups, Faculte had a crowdsourced logo and a great product but struggled to find a simple, compelling way to communicate how their product works.
The Solution
After a conversation about their goals and current user groups, I took a firsthand look at their product to put myself in the user's shoes. Then we worked together to break down the whole process of using their product into three simple steps—create a presentation, publish it to be viewable on any device, and track the number of views your presentation receives.
To illustrate the simplicity of the "Create" part of the process, I broke it down further into five individual steps that served as a visual instruction guide. I used their current logo as the foundation for the look and feel of the illustrations to help flesh out their brand and create a cohesive message. I was also part of selecting the one-word descriptors for each of the steps.
The Result
After translating the process into a series of simple, scalable illustrations, they now have the ability to quickly show what their product does without a lengthy explanation. This helps them attract more potential users and present a professional image. Because of how I created the illustrations, they can print or project their custom illustrations on any surface or screen at any size without looking jagged or blurry. They are being used on their web banners, website, PowerPoint presentations and trade show booth.
Custom illustrations that introduce the Faculte process
Faculte is cloud-based software that makes it easy for educators to create, publish and track their own presentations. I illustrated a custom set of branded graphics to introduce the Faculte process and show new users how simple it is to use their service.
